Trademark Renewals and Recordals

The registration period of a trademark is typically 10 years, but the duration differs from country to country.  Trademark registrations are renewable after the initial duration, and may in principle remain registered indefinitely provided that the mark remains renewed, in use and distinctive. We can renew your trademarks, keep them on our renewal database to send you timely renewal reminders as due dates approach, and help you decide which marks to renew and which to let lapse. Apart from trademark assignment recordals, other trademark recordal applications we deal with include recording changes of address, changes of name of company (such as those occasioned by conversion or migration of the company), changes of address for service, amendments of marks, amendments of specifications of goods or services, endorsing conditions or limitations on registrations, endorsing disclaimers or other memoranda on registrations, filing caveats, and recording hypothecations.
